Let me start off by saying I'm on my 3rd bottle of this foundation, you know what that means...I love it!
I must admit I was never a fan of Cover Girl, there's probably two products I can name from that brand before this foundation that I can say I enjoy. For some reason when I ran out of foundation I decided to go for this one in particular because it said it does amazing things and it said NEW on the package. I'm glad I gave it a shot. The Cover Girl Outlast Fabulous foundation comes in 14 shades, this foundation claims to give an "all-day flawless coverage". It also says it has "the lasting power of a primer, coverage of a concealer, and blendability of a foundation in one" and its oil-free. First of all I love that it has a pump, it makes it super convenient and I don't waste product because its easy to control the amount I want.
It was kind of easy to find my perfect shade. I chose 857 Golden Tan. It had me at "Golden"
that's what I need in foundation, that nice golden undertone to match me and this one is great.
To me this foundation gives a medium coverage and its buildable to full coverage or it can be apply lightly for a more natural finish. I love the matte finish it gives because it doesn't look like a dry matte but instead is more natural looking. Because I don't have bad skin I cant say it covers like a concealer. I only use concealer under my eyes to brighten them up a bit since I have a baby and I don't sleep as I'd like. I also don't have to use much powder to set it, I only use a very small amount of my favorite powder and just focus on my t-zone and under eyes if I applied concealer on that day I think this foundation blends so well with either my hand or a brush. There's 2 brushes I like using, the 1st one is the ELF powder brush and the 2nd is Eco tools custom coverage buffing brush, both of them make this product blend amazing and makes it look really good on my skin.
Other things I'd like to mention is I don't have to use a primer with this foundation but there's times I choose to, at least I did sometimes during the summer because here in TX it gets humid and way to hot. The lasting power is amazing. I love long wearing foundations because I don't like touching up my make up when I go out. I've had this foundation on for more than 8 hrs at times and even though it wont look as if I just applied it (obviously) it stays looking pretty good.
I definitely recommend this foundation, I don't know how it would work on someone with dry skin but I'm sure that with the right moisturizer and/or primer this would be just fine for anyone.
