WONDER WOMAN COLLECTION (updated post)

Last week I saw a youtube video talking about this new collection MAC was coming out with..and I could not pass on it. I did not own any MAC products until today, and I was really happy with the things I got
First I got the mineralize skinfinish in *GOLDEN LARIAT
The collection officialy launched in stores 2/10/11 and the other color which is *pink power was sold out by 11am...I'm glad Golden Lariat was my 1st pick.
The 1st color is a bright gold with shimmer, the middle comes off as matte which I love, and the 3rd color is a nice peach color with shimmer but doesn't show much on the skin. I used it on my cheeks and it really really like how it looks. I swatch them...I hope you can see the colors well.

Second thing I got was the green quad in *VALIANT with beautiful green shades and my favorite out of the all the quads

 1st color is *MANILA PAPER
2nd color is *VALIANT
3rd color is *DIANA UNDERCOVER
4th color *SPINING TRANSFORMATION

Last thing I got was one of the blushes in *MIGHTY APHRODITE
Really nice color, i think it will be really nice for the summer :)

FOTD!!

Today I found this LA COLORS palette ($1 name *traditional) sitting in the back of all my eyeshadows and I had not used it. It has really nice colors and really pigmented as well, so I created this look and I'm feeling like making it my everyday look. Heres how I did it.
First I used Too Faced shadow insurance, then with a fluffy brush I applied shadow 1 to my crease and blended upwards, with the same brush I applied shadow 2 to my lid, I then applied shadow 3 to my outer corner and blended the colors together. To finish it up I applied shadow 4 to my brow bone as a highlight. I lined my eyes with MAC Blacktrack fluidline, and used the falsies mascara. On my cheeks I have NYX blush in *MOCHA. On my lips I used Wet n' Wild 902C and that was all.

COVER GIRL tropical fusion quad

I've had this quad for a very long time..but it kind of just sits in the back of all my makeup. I do not reach for this very often because only two out of the four colors call my attention the most...but they are to bright to use for an everyday look..in my opinion. The only two colors on the quad that I like the most are the blue and the green/teal color. I really like the peachy color but it is to powdery and it really does not show when applying it. Same problem with the yellow color...to powdery. The blue and the green/teal are very pigmented and they show the same color when you apply it. It was inexpensive so it is not a bad buy unless you have other eye shadows that are similar to this and work good for you. Sometimes I use the peachy color to blend out brown eye shadows on my crease and it gives a nice sheer peach finish to the look. Its a decent quad overall. Whats your opinions on it?

here are swatches without a base or anything. I really had to go over the yellow and peach color a few times.

Playing with make up...

I've been wanting to try this look for a very long time..and I really don't know why I haven't till today. It was super easy to achieve and I really loved how it turned out. I washed my face off right after because its to much for just a regular day..but I hope you like it
[[PRODUCTS USED]]
NYX JUMBO PENCIL *MILK
NYX SMOKEY EYE PALETTE
COVER GIRL *TROPICAL FUSION QUAD
L'OREAL LIQUID EYELINER
MAYBELLINE THE FALSIES MASCARA

[[CHEEKS]]
L.A COLORS *TOAST
ULTA BRONZER
[[LIPS]]
RIMMEL LIPSTICK *SPOTLIGHT BEIGE
SALLY HANSEN LIP-GLOSS *PRINCESS

I used NYX milk as a primer/base all over my lid up to my brow bone. I used a small brush to apply my crease color first. I applied the lightest brown from the two circled on the picture, and I blended upwards. Then I applied the green/teal color on my lid and blended that color into the crease color (brown) Then with a blending brush I added the darkest brown to my crease to make it darker. By the way both browns are matte. With a small brush I added the green/teal color on my bottom lash line and added the darkest brown on top of it. I lined my eyes and applied a coat of mascara. I didn't use anything to highlight my brow bone, and that was it. heres some pictures to see it closer.

Coastal Scents brushes

I ordered this 6 brushes from COASTAL SCENTS this weekend and received them today :] and only one of them really satisfied me...sad...I will not give a whole review on them but I will post a few words to describe them...this is my opinion
This is my favorite brush out of the 6..It is soft and blends really well. Its my new favorite blending brush, and it was only like $4.95

A really tiny brush but applies eyeshadow well...I used it for applying eyeshadow to my bottom lash-line

This brush it supposed to be a blending brush...but its to big to use for my eyes so I might just use this to highlight my face. I liked it, its soft and fluffy :]

I really hope to chose better brushes next time, but I will definitely find a use for all of the brushes I purchased.
Which are your favorite Coastal Scents brushes? :]

ORGANIX Nourishing Milk

I want to talk about this product I bought a few weeks ago, ORGANIX LEAVE-IN NOURISHING MILK. I'm letting my hair grow and my ends have been so dry and breaking. So I completely stopped using any type of heat on my hair about a month ago (only use it occasionally)...its been hard but well worth it. I am 4 inches away from my desired length and I will do anything to get my hair there. I use this spray after I wash my hair. Usually I let my hair dry for a little before applying this spray. I love the smell of coconut. I can honestly say that after almost 3 weeks of using this product my hair definitely feel softer and hydrated. I usually let my hair air dry every day and if I'm going out on the weekend then I use a hair dryer..and in that case I have to use a treatment on my hair at the time of washing it. At the moment the treatment I'm using is AUSSIE 3 MINUTE MIRACLE TREATMENT. That treatment also works really good for me. Let me know what you use for your hair. I'd love to try other products that my hair can benefit from. :]
